Description

Founded in 1936, the FEHAP is the leading federation of the non-profit private sectors in health, social, and medico-social fields. It originates from the traditions of religious works aimed at assisting the most destitute of the 17th century. Private non-profit institutions stem from the associative world, foundations, the mutualist universe, or the social protection field. Heirs to altruistic actions and human-scale operations, they meet the needs of the people who often initiated their creation and societal needs not covered by the public sector and unprofitable for the commercial private sector. With their tens of thousands of volunteers, these private non-profit institutions are fully part of the social and solidarity economy. They are a favored place for the expression of humanist values and welcoming all citizens at all stages of life and for all pathologies. FEHAP is a member of the Confederation of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (CPME).
